Simone’s artwork is a series of compositions created to reflect and express the parts of the self that are invisible. Each piece is a complex sum of intricate lines and patterns that mirror the integration of inner and outer worlds. For Simone, creating these art works represents the integration of the many aspects of her consciousness into a transformative beauty and cohesive whole.
Simone’s primary medium is ink on paper. Her hand drawn lines and patterns multiply possibilities, embody feelings and connect her to the present moment, which is a source of endless inspiration for her. Almost all her work begins without any framework - she lets her lines freely express her authentic self by letting the energy flow freely through her onto her work. Her meditative, unplanned and organic technique takes her work into unexpected directions resulting in abstract drawings ; a physically realized version of the stream of consciousness.
Simone Alexandrino was born and raised in Brazil.
